In a signing ceremony organized by the Technology Transfer Office on November 22, 2011, The University of Hong Kong, BOE Technology Group Limited and Beijing Aglaia Technology & Development Co Ltd have entered into a framework agreement which laid out the plans for further collaboration in the research and development of AMOLED displays. The signing ceremony was attended by, among other honorable guests and colleagues of HKU, Prof TSUI L C, Vice-Chancellor of HKU, Prof CHE C M, Professor of the Chemistry Department who is leading the research work, Mr WANG Dongxing, President of BOE and Ms CAI L F Phoebe, President of Algaia.
