[HKU Machine Learning Society] 3rd Ground Zero Workshop
Neural Network Basics – Special Guest: Dr. Christophe Coupé
In this workshop, you will be able to do “Machine Learning” finally – train a model to learn identifying cats from images (shout out to cat lovers). We have also invited Dr. Christophe Coupé who is an assistant professor from the Department of Linguistics to share his work and view on machine learning. His research interest in the application of computational and statistical methods to linguistic data.
Neural Network is the basic building blocks of almost every machine learning algorithm that mimics how the human brains work (Do people still say that?) Sign up to our third workshop NOW if you want to harness the magic power of neural network or you just want to see more cat pictures.
For new comers, we strongly encourage you to self-study basic python syntax like numpy (covered in our second workshop). We have uploaded the materials and content of previous workshop in our drive. Experienced students are welcomed as well if you want to review basic concepts, practice programming or help other students.
